Day one on September 22 2021 was a great experience in ways more than one. For one the bus ride there was more memorable than the rest. For one I was sitting with Ryan the way there, I was forced to sit on the floor of the bus due to the lack of space. After the long bus ride we finally arrived at the beautiful sensory of Cardigan Mountain. The autumn leaves were starting to come out and although the fog was covering the summit of the cardigan you could still find the beauty . After the many intense games and skethces filled with endless laughs we finally got into our groups for hiking. My group leader was Max, who had a huge afro and was from Arizona .Also Max was breaking a huge rule he wore a cotton shirt (cotton kills!). My group consisted of Ryan, Joe,Sophie, Andrew , Charlotte , Owen , Nick , Owen's dad and Ms.B.
As we started hiking we soon decided on a team name, Team Doofenshmirtz with the team theme song being Doofenshmirtz evil incorporated. We started our journey by going on the back 80 nature loop. Although it was cold I quickly discovered that it was going to be colder as we got into the woods and into the shade with no sun. As we hiked we stopped to make multiple sketches and at this magical and beautiful area where we stopped to make fairy house sketches. As well as stopping to do sketches at the beautiful area we also continued to eat our lunch. For my lunch I had a fluffernutter and continued to eat with Ryan on the few dry rocks. Soon we continued hiking and made it to a great historical and fascinating sight: the cellar hole. The cellar hole was an old farmers home because farmers used to actually farm on cardigan but soon discovered that cardigan is not the best place to farm because of the soil. As well as another stop that we made we played a very fun game called camouflage. This game camouflage was played with one person hiding and then the rest would look. As we played we soon discovered that Andrew was soon named the champion of camouflage with his amazing hiding skills. Also Joe left early and went back with Ryan and Mrs.B . We got on the bus and we were reaching dangerous speeds down the hill and I was catching air more than once.
This was the old celler hole that we found and we were able to learn abou the history of farmers at Cardigan.
We played the game camoflauge and we put the stickinateer to it's final resting place.
I played the back to back game with Cha cha and I had to draw this fern.
We had a challenge to go to a spot and draw a fariy house that could be in that spot.
We were at this beautiful stream with many rocks and this tree went over the water and rocks.
The indian cucumber that we ate and it tasted pretty good and was fun to dig out.
